Apartment Ministry was started when Pastor Hood was serving at the Fresno Rescue Mission as a Chaplain. One day going out into the community giving out bread to low income apartments he noticed drug sales going on with gang members. He went into the office and asked if he could help with the problems. The office staff responded, "...Yes, yes we need someone to help us... "They then gave Pastor Hood access to use an empty apartment to hold Bible Studies. They opened their swimming pool gates to perform Baptismal and free reign to go door-to-door and invite the people to service. Every Tuesday night we had Bible Studies, and handed out groceries to the needy families. During the summer, we held Baptismal Services once a month. The fame of Apartment Ministry was heard at many other apartments within two years. Many apartment owners were calling and asking can we come help them.

Villa Margarita Apartment Ministry

Villa Margarita Apartments are a newly adopted low income apartment complex which Feed My Sheep Ministries have been called to serve as God’s laborers. These apartments have a lot of problems such as gang activity and the children, as always are the target for the gang recruiters and drug dealers to prey on.

Some of the women are deceived in to things like thinking some man will be the one who saves them out of the poverty stricken lonely situation they are in. They go from one relationship to the next only to grow from bad to worse. The children, boys and girls in this complex are mostly without discipline and have no father role model to follow as an example.

Usually six out ten of these children will fill up the jails and prisons and some may be dead by the time they reach eighteen years old because of gang involvement. Feed My Sheep Ministries have been invited in to help them in the areas of:

A. Help turn some of the parents young and old away from going in the wrong direction.
B. To gain the attention of the kids and keep them from gangs and drugs. We do this through the following.

1. We have created the Stop the Violence Bicycle Repair & Bike Club Ministry where we collect new and used bicycles and work with the children repairing there bicycles or repair donated bicycles, mentoring them as we go. For those kids who have nothing… We give bicycles as donations permit.

2. We hold Spanish bible study and services Tuesday nights.

3. Moms Helping Moms.

4. Stop the Violence Bicycle Repair & Bike Club.
